Randstad is partnering with a prominent Local Government body based in Cleveland to recruit an experienced Digital Communications Adviser. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your technical web skills and multimedia creativity within a supportive, community-focused environment.

Role Overview

  • Location: Cleveland
  • Pay Rate: $42.93 per hour
  • Contract Length: Temporary, full-time until 1 June

Role Responsibilities

As a Digital Communications Adviser, you will ensure the effective operation of multiple internet sites and the corporate intranet. Your key accountabilities include:

  • Web & Digital Administration: Provide technical administration and desktop support for web-based Content Management Systems (CMS), utilizing HTML and CSS to ensure content is accurate and accessible.
  • Multimedia Creation: Resolve complex technical problems and create digital assets, including video, sound clips, and photos, to optimize content delivery.
  • Social Media Management: Develop tailored solutions to maximize the benefits of social media channels and the intranet as primary communication tools.
  • Training & Support: Coordinate and train staff to create and maintain online content and forms, providing ongoing support to meet business needs.
  • Digital Strategy: Maintain digital standards and guidelines while providing reports to business units to inform management decision-making.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Technical Expertise: Proven achievement in configuring and administering complex government web and intranet sites using CMS systems and online form builders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience working effectively with stakeholders to meet internal communication needs.
  • Training Ability: Demonstrated experience in delivering user training to non-technical staff.
  • Analytical Skills: Technical knowledge of digital platforms and software integration, specifically for government communications or disaster management.
  • Project Coordination: Highly developed skills in planning and meeting urgent deadlines while managing multiple projects.

Mandatory & Desirable Requirements

  • Mandatory: Must possess a current 'C' Class drivers licence.
  • Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in IT or Communications.
  • Systems Knowledge: Working knowledge of SharePoint, Office365, JADU CMS, and OpenForms is highly regarded.
